Alumni Advisory Board

 

Mission Statement

The mission of the Alumni Advisory Board is to support the university and its goals by promoting life-long friendships and connections with past, present and future students, building on those values developed within each person and enhancing the university’s reputation as an outstanding institution of higher education.

Member Expectations

  • Board Meeting Attendance – Meetings typically are held on Sunday afternoons
    (Each member must attend a minimum of three meetings annually)
  • Inclusion of La Verne in yearly charitable donations
  • Committee participation or participation on an Affinity Group Board
  • Attend and assist with Alumni Weekend/Homecoming
  • Serve as a spokesperson for the university – informal/formal recruitment of students
  • Attend at least one affinity group or regional alumni event
  • Assist with the distribution of alumni license plate frames at winter and spring commencement ceremonies
  • Attend at least one student event (i.e., theater, music, art, sporting event)
