Sean Bernard, Program Director
Sean Bernard (therealseanbernard.com) holds degrees in creative writing from Arizona, Oregon State, and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. His fiction has appeared in numerous journals including Sequestrum, Quarterly West, LIT, EPOCH, Glimmer Train, West Branch, and Front Porch. His first novel, Studies in the Hereafter, is out from Red Hen Press; his collection Desert sonorous won the 2014 Juniper Prize and is out from UMass Press; his chapbook, Nuclear, is out from CutBank Books; and he’s won artist-grants from groups in Washington, D.C., Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, and the 2010 Poets & Writers California Writers Exchange Award.
