La Verne Scholarships

La Verne Grants

Photo To be eligible for consideration for La Verne grants, a student must be admitted through the Office of Undergraduate Admission at main campus and be enrolled as a full-time student. La Verne Grants are awarded based on financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the student’s high school grade point average and ACT/SAT scores. If you have earned an undergraduate degree, you are not eligible to receive any institutional grants/scholarships or any federal grants. You may qualify for a Cal Grant if eligibility remains.

La Verne Academic Scholarships

To be eligible for consideration for a La Verne academic scholarship, a student must be admitted through the Office of Undergraduate Admission at main campus and be enrolled as a full-time student. Academic scholarships are not need based and are annually renewable based on full-time enrollment and satisfactory academic progress. La Verne academic scholarships are awarded to first-time college students based on high school grades in college preparatory coursework only, and ACT/SAT scores at the time of admission. La Verne academic scholarships are awarded to transfer students based on college GPA at the time of admission. Award requirements are available through the Office of Undergraduate Admission. If you have earned an undergraduate degree, you are not eligible to receive any institutional grants/scholarships or any federal grants. You may qualify for a Cal Grant if eligibility remains.

La Verne Performance Scholarships

International Student Scholastic Awards

To be eligible for consideration for an International Student Scholarship Award, a student must be admitted through the Office of Undergraduate Admission at main campus and be enrolled as a full-time student. La Verne International Student Scholastic Awards are awarded to first-time college students or to transfer students at the point of admission to La Verne. Award requirements are available through the Office of Undergraduate Admission. If you have earned an undergraduate degree, you are not eligible to receive any institutional grants/scholarships or any federal grants. You may qualify for a Cal Grant if eligibility remains.

La Verne Loans

Photo To be eligible for consideration for a La Verne Loan, a student must be admitted through the Office of Undergraduate Admission at main campus and be enrolled as a full-time student. La Verne Loans are interest free during the student’s enrollment. Recipients must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, and have graduated from a California high school. Repayment begins after graduation or withdrawal from La Verne. If you have earned an undergraduate degree, you are not eligible to receive any institutional grants/scholarships or any federal grants. You may qualify for a Cal Grant if eligibility remains.

Graduate Scholarships and Assistantships

Based on merit, these awards are made to graduate students who have been nominated by their departments and approved by the Dean. These scholarships cannot exceed 25% of any semester’s tuition. Application must be made each semester through the department.

Honors Program Scholarships

Incoming 2014 freshmen students who choose to participate in the Honors 102: Darwin in Context January Interterm trip to the Galapagos islands and Ecuador will receive a $2000 credit to assist in covering the trip cost.
