Alternative Transportation Commuter Incentives for University of La Verne Employees
The University will provide employees and students who ride the bus to campus with a FREE Foothill Transit pass. Please go to Student Services in Woody Hall and ask for your FREE TAP card. You can also get TAP card services at La Verne City Hall, located at 3660 D St., La Verne, CA. Call (909) 596-8700 for more details. All TAP card services are also available online at taptogo.net, and you can get help over the phone by calling 1-866-TAP TO GO (827-8646). Please note: The free Foothill Transit pass is only valid during regular University of La Verne school terms. The pass is not valid for free rides during Jan term or from the last day of classes in May until the first day of classes in August. During these off times, riders may add funds to their TAP account and continue to use the card, however it will have to be re-activated in order to receive free services when the term resumes.
Employees who ride the bus will be provided with one free* Davenport lunch ticket per week when they ride the bus to campus each least three days that week.
The University will provide carpool permits to employees who are carpooling with one or more University of La Verne employee. This permit is issued after all carpool members sign a waiver Carpool-Statement and return it to Transportation and Parking Services.
Carpool members will be provided with one free* Davenport lunch ticket per week, per carpool member, when they carpool with another University employee each day that week.
Consistent bike riders are eligible to receive a free helmet/lock and walkers are eligible to receive a free umbrella.
Employees who walk or ride a bike will be provided with one free* Davenport lunch ticket per week when they ride or walk at least three days that week.
The Foothill Gold Line Construction Authority is preparing the 12.3 mile, six station Glendora to Montclair segment of the Gold Line for construction. This new segment of the Gold Line will provide much needed transportation options for tens of thousands of students, commuters and the more than one million visitors who travel to the Los Angeles County Fair each year.

*Lunch vouchers are considered a taxable benefit and tax will be deducted from the Employee’s paycheck at a rate determined by each Employee’s individual tax table.
If you are an Employee and you qualify for any commuter incentives as described above, please download a Monthly Commuter Record (see links below), fill it out completely and return it to Transportation and Parking Services by the 10th day of the following month to receive your incentive.
