The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at the University of La Verne supports all faculty, staff and students to help conduct research and continue to develop their research skills. We support both pre and post-award activities, working with faculty and staff to identify funding opportunities, prepare and submit proposals, as well as providing administrative review and oversight of post-award expense and reporting activities.
We aim to stimulate externally funded research at the University and strengthen the infrastructure needed to be competitive in obtaining federal, state and municipal support of faculty research and scholarships.
The ORSP is responsible for the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC).
The office works with the budget office in developing proposals and negotiating indirect cost rates with the federal government.
Additionally, the office closely coordinates with University Advancement to allow a complete exploration of both government and private funding opportunities.
